Thomas McConnell is the latest in the long tradition of Liverpool singer/song writers. His songs are lyrical and a mostly guitar driven. He's getting about a bit so definitely one to keep an eye on.The Cavern back is a big room, more so the less people that are in there but he filled it with his sound very well, especially for a Tuesday afternoon.

After missing Mr McConnell last year (owing to inevitable IPO clashes) I was expecting a full band but his solo performance was great with a Thom's winning songs, vocals and multi instrumental dexterity he made it cool and memorable.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that we went along to see him on a bit of a whim while waiting for Dave Rave's extra Cavern Pub set, glad we did though.
DeleteDeb actually recommended Thom get in touch with David Bash especially as he was local and was a perfect fit for IPO. Then we embarrassingly only caught a glimpse of his set at the Cavern Pub but put that to right this year and like you, glad we did. :)
